Child Safety Standards

Effective date: September 7, 2026
Last updated: September 7, 2026

Doktu LLC ("Doktu") operates a private, invite-only professional engagement platform for verified oncology clinicians. Doktu maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation. These standards describe our prohibitions, our reporting channels, and the enforcement actions we take.

These standards are publicly accessible and require no account or login to view.

1. Platform Access and Eligibility

Doktu is not a consumer social network and is not directed to children. Access is restricted to verified physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical professionals who appear on the membership roster of a partner professional society. Prospective members must be pre-approved by an administrator before an account can be created.

Doktu is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. Minors are not permitted to create or hold accounts on Doktu under any circumstances. Any account discovered to belong to a minor will be terminated.

2. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on Doktu. These prohibitions apply to all content, communications, live audio sessions, profiles, images, and any other material transmitted through or stored on the platform.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Doktu prohibits any content, conduct, or communication that sexually abuses, exploits, or endangers a child. This includes the solicitation, facilitation, promotion, normalization, or glorification of the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Doktu prohibits the creation, possession, uploading, transmission, sharing, linking to, requesting, or advertising of child sexual abuse material in any form, including photographic, video, illustrated, animated, computer-generated, or artificially generated depictions.

Grooming. Doktu prohibits any attempt to build a relationship or emotional connection with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse, exploitation, or trafficking, including attempts to establish contact, secrecy, or isolation from caregivers or trusted adults.

Sextortion. Doktu prohibits threatening to expose or distribute intimate imagery of any person, including any minor, in order to obtain sexual content, sexual activity, money, or any other benefit.

Trafficking. Doktu prohibits the recruitment, transport, transfer, harboring, advertising, or receipt of a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation or any other form of exploitation.

Sexualization of minors. Doktu prohibits content that sexualizes a minor or presents a minor in a manner that emphasizes sexual characteristics, regardless of whether the content depicts explicit conduct.

Off-platform conduct. Doktu reserves the right to take enforcement action where a member engages in the conduct described above on other services, where that conduct comes to our attention and bears on the safety of the Doktu community.

Clinical discussion of pediatric oncology care is a legitimate and expected use of the platform. Nothing in these standards restricts appropriate professional clinical communication. Members are separately instructed not to share patient-identifying information on Doktu.

3. Reporting a Child Safety Concern

Anyone may report a suspected violation of these standards, whether or not they hold a Doktu account.

In the application. Members can report any post, reply, or profile using the report control available on each item. Reports are routed to the moderation queue for administrator review.

By email. Reports may be sent at any time to childsafety@joindoktu.com. This inbox is monitored and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Reports should include, where available, a description of the content or conduct, the location of the content within the application, and the approximate date and time. Reporters may request confidentiality.

Emergencies. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement or emergency services first. In the United States, suspected child sexual exploitation may also be reported directly to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

4. How We Respond

Doktu reviews every report it receives. Where a violation of these standards is identified, Doktu may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Immediate removal of the offending content
  • Suspension of the member's account pending investigation
  • Permanent termination of the member's account and revocation of platform access
  • Removal of the member from the partner society whitelist, preventing re-registration
  • Preservation of relevant records for law enforcement purposes
  • Notification of the member's partner professional society, where appropriate
  • Reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperation with law enforcement to the extent required or permitted by applicable law

Doktu reports apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC as required under applicable United States law and preserves associated records in accordance with those obligations.

Enforcement action for violations of these standards is not subject to a warning or graduated response. Confirmed violations result in immediate account termination.

5. Prevention Measures

Doktu maintains the following controls:

  • Closed registration. Only email addresses appearing on an approved partner society roster may create an account. There is no open or public sign-up.
  • Adult-only membership. Membership is limited to credentialed clinical professionals aged 18 or older.
  • No public access. Content is visible only to authenticated members. Live audio sessions are gated to authenticated members with no external join links.
  • No direct messaging. Doktu does not offer private one-to-one messaging between members.
  • Administrator visibility. Administrators can identify the author of any content posted anonymously, so anonymity does not shield a member from accountability.
  • In-application reporting. Reporting controls are available on all member-generated content.
